Darryn has been working within the communications industry since 2010.

DARRYN RUGE

Darryn has been working within the communications industry since 2010 and his roles have been across most aspects of the industry including civil and construction, rod and rope, hauling and copper jointing.

Before joining Dizza Communications, Darryn was employed by RJC Communications. In this time, Darryn progressed to become Works Supervisor, overseeing all aspects of the projects, from client prestart meetings, red lines, handover, obtaining permits, materials, servicing of equipment and hiring of staff. Work was conducted from Albany in the south to Kununurra in the north on various mine sites and local town infrastructure.

He was responsible for the safe delivery of a major project which involved a 20km direct buried fibre installation for BHP, which included meeting a tough cut over deadline due to interruptions to the rail network.

Darryn has worked for, and with, many large companies including Telstra, Service Stream, IGSM, Optus, NextGen, Pipe Networks, Vision Stream, Western Power, Vodafone, BHP, Rio Tinto and FMG. Complying with the varied and strict OHS&E requirements of each company has given Darryn a sound knowledge in all aspects of safety, the environment, as well as quality of work which he applies to all aspects of his work with Dizza Communications.

Since commencing with Dizza Communications, Darryn’s experience in hauling all types of cable, from copper (2400 pair down to 2 pair), to fibre optic have been invaluable. He holds qualifications in First Aid, Traffic Management, Winch Operation, Working at Heights and Confined Space which ensures that his work is always conducted in a safe and timely manner.
